Greetings and Salutations!

It’s very hard to believe that August is already upon us. I feel like January was only yesterday and we were looking forward to a fresh year with high goals and expectations. Now we are eight months into the year and only a month or two away from the re-forecasting process for 2011.

Here is where CNYSME can be of great value on a couple of fronts. First, although 2010 is more than half over there’s still time for growth and improvement, above and beyond what you are already achieving. We have a full docket of training opportunities with our Rise N’ Shines and Professional Forums that are very inexpensive ways of augmenting your corporate training programs. Not only will your team be “sharpening their tools” but these sessions are great places to meet other professionals for networking possibilities.

On a more long term note, when you’re in the midst of your 2011 planning cycle, CNYSME can be of considerable usefulness. Do you have a formal recognition program for your top performers? Probably not, but CNYSME does. It’s our Crystal Ball and Sales & Marketing Excellence Awards Banquet. It’s the premier event to recognize your best and brightest.

Do you have a customer appreciation event? Not really? Well guess what. We do. It’s our Big Swing golf tournament. We’ll do all of the planning for you, soup to nuts. We’ll take care of the course, food, beverages, basically everything. All you have to do is take your best customers golfing and let them win.

Lastly, are you looking for one last summer hurrah? Are you a fan of grilled food? Do you NOT shy away from drawn butter? If you’ve said yes to any of these questions then the CNYSME 2nd Annual Clambake is the place to be on August 19th.

The Crystal Ball Committee is still seeking nominations for the 2011 Crystal Ball Award. This prestigious award recognizes a person in our community that upholds the vitality and success of the sales and marketing industry while contributing to our community.
